Glaze Exploration Workshop - 10th August (SOLD OUT)

Experience the magic of glaze making through this hands-on one day Glaze Workshop on August 10th. 

Special guest instructor, GLOST Glaze founder Elena Gileva, will lead the workshop and guide you through the fundamentals of glazing, including chemistry and mixing techniques.

The day will start with understanding the theory and chemistry behind glaze making, and will then move into interpreting recipes, before experimenting and testing recipes. Through this workshop you will gain the skills and confidence to create beautiful colour variations in a base glaze and begin to create your own unique glazes. 

Test tiles: Some white body test tiles will be available on the day, however please bring a sample of your own stoneware test tiles with you to get the most out of the testing. Optional firing of tiles is included and can be collected at a later date. 

Group Size: Max 8 people

Lunch: Please bring lunch with you for the day, or alternatively there are shops within a 10 minute walking distance. Pastries, tea, coffee and light snacks will be provided.

Timing: 11:00-16:30 with 30 minute lunch break (may finish slightly earlier)

Payment terms: There is an option to split payment for this workshop. You can select to pay £40 deposit, and the remaining £80 will then need to be selected and paid before 1st July. The deposit is non-refunable.
